Profitdiagnostix – We have made it faster!

We know that a lot of you simply rely on the regular emailed reports from Profitdiagnostix and hardly ever log in, so this will not effect you.
However, if you are one of those people who logs in and likes to look at the various reports and dashboards regularly, then you will notice that the system is a lot faster.

With Profitdiagnostix having to process over a million invoices in some reports every time they were viewed, it was becoming clear that it’s brain needed a little help. You would have noticed this by the fact that some of the reports were taking quite long to load whilst Profitdiagnostix was having a big think about your business.
To resolve this, our clever developers have used a system called ‘caching’ which is used only on some of the best systems that have to process huge amounts of data.
This allows Profitdiagnostix to ‘remember’ what your report looked like for a few days and load it up quickly from memory rather than run all the calculations on your business again.
Of course here there is a small compromise – when Profitdiagnostix does this, your data may be, at most, a few days old. But at least you don’t have to go and make a cup of coffee while you wait for your report to load.
If you want the report to be refreshed to the most current data, then all you have to do is click this button at the top of the page:

If its up to date it will be green and show the number zero (zero days old)
If the button is yellow with a number in it, you know that this report is loaded from memory, with the number showing how many days old it is.
Clicking this button will make profitdiagnostix re-calculate the report and make it zero days old again.

Your time is valuable, and we want to make sure that you are out there running your business profitably, not waiting for reports to load.

Regards
The Profitdiagnostix team
